Film Geeks SD is a group of volunteers working under the non-profit umbrella of Media Arts Center San Diego. We bring unique film programming to its Digital Gym Cinema and now are programming virtual events since the cinema has closed. Comic-Con has always been an opportunity for us to share programming information and to raise funds through donations for the Greg Muskewitz Scholarship Fund, which is given out each year to San Diego area young filmmakers. Greg was a 23-year-old film critic who died of cancer and this scholarship (now in its 15th year) honors his memory and his love for cinema. During this current pandemic the arts community has been hit hard so please consider making a donation in any amount that fits your budget to help Media Arts Center continue to provide support to the next generation of San Diego filmmakers.
