BALLISTOL hast been produced and sold worldwide for more than four generations and is still manufactured in Germany using the original recipe of 1904. Originally developed for the imperial army as a weapon and maintenance oil. Around the turn of the 20th century, the imperial army needed an universal oil that would maintain and preserve metal parts, wooden stocks an leather. Simultaneously, it had to serve as a wound oil for injuries, lacerations and bruises. It soon became obvious that this new 'ballistic oil' hat truly amazing capabilities.
